23-year-old man hit, killed while running across North Roxboro Street, Durham police say

DURHAM, N.C (WTVD) -- A 23-year-old man was killed after being hit by a car late Saturday night.

It happened just before midnight on North Roxboro Street near Avondale Drive.

Officers said Edgar Alvarez Castro ran across the road when a 2010 Chrysler 300 hit him.

Castro was pronounced dead on scene.

No charges will be filed.
