Durham police cruiser involved in crash

DURHAM, N.C. (WTVD) -- A Durham police cruiser was involved in a crash Thursday night.

The crash happened at the intersection of Hillandale Road and Croasdaile Farm Parkway around 7 p.m.

The cruiser, a Dodge Charger, suffered heavy front-end damage while the other car, a Lexus sedan, had damage to the passenger side.

Police say the driver of the Lexus was going north on Hillandale and attempted a left turn, failing to yield to the Charger.

A breaking news crew on scene said there were minor injuries in the crash.
