City of Raleigh and Rolesville say watch out for fake 'employees'
The City said all of its workers carry photo ID and have vehicles with logos on the side

ROLESVILLE, N.C. (WTVD) -- The City of Raleigh and Rolesville police are warning residents to watch out for crooks posing as city employees.

The warning comes after people posing as city workers tried to talk their way into a home in the Rolesville area to do water sampling.

The City said all of its workers carry photo ID that they're supposed to show residents when they approach them. They also drive vehicles with the City seal prominently displayed.

Anyone who comes onto contact with suspicious "employees" should call 911.
