Motorcyclist killed in collision with SUV in Raleigh

RALEIGH (WTVD) -- Authorities are investigating an accident that killed a motorcyclist in North Raleigh late Monday night.

The accident happened around 11 p.m. along Durant Road at Stropshire Lane.

The North Carolina State Highway Patrol said a Honda CR-V was going east on Durant Road when it turned left in front of a motorcyclist traveling in a westbound lane. The motorcyclist was killed instantly.

The names of the drivers involved have not been released, but authorities say charges are pending.
