HICKORY, N.C. (WTVD) -- A teenager from Hickory told police that an armed man told him to take down the Confederate flag on the back of his pickup truck, WSOC reports.

Police said a man armed with a pistol confronted the 18-year-old and told him to take down the flag while at a gas station.

Authorities found a man with a loaded 9mm pistol hiding in the woods nearby, but he said he had no involvement in the incident.

There is surveillance video from the gas station and a possible suspect, according to police.
