RALEIGH (WTVD) -- Raleigh police are searching for a 21-year-old man in connection with two shootings - one fatal - and a sexual assault that happened in Raleigh Monday.

Detectives have obtained arrest warrants charging Kendrick Keyanti Gregory in connection with the three incidents.

The first one happened around 9 a.m. at the Knights Inn hotel in the 3800 block of New Bern Avenue. Police said Lenin Alvaringa, 27, was shot in the back during a robbery. Gregory has been charged with assault with a deadly weapon with intent to kill inflicting serious injury and robbery with a dangerous weapon.

Police said the suspect was seen getting into a blue BMW. They said the car is similar to one used in the New Bern Avenue shooting. The car was later located late Monday night in the Brentwood area.

Around that same time, police said a 15-year-old girl was sexually assaulted in the area. Authorities have now charged Gregory with first degree rape in connection with the crime.

Police said Tuesday morning that they believe Gregory may be driving a stolen white 1994 Toyota Corolla bearing N.C. license plate CJJ-3773. The vehicle was reported stolen overnight from the 3600 block of Greywood Drive.

The woman who owns the car told ABC11 that Gregory came into her home as she slept.

"He came right into my room, inside my bedroom, walked into the house, through the back door, came into my bedroom, and picked my purse up. It was hanging off my chair leg next to the bed, came and took it into the kitchen, got into my purse, took all my money out of my purse. I had $2,000 saved up to go to my sisters after Christmas," said Linda Glen. "He just went ahead and helped himself to my car keys, went out back the back door and hopped in my car and drove away."

Police say Gregory should be considered armed and extremely dangerous. Anyone who sees him or believes they may know his whereabouts should call 911 immediately and refrain from having any contact with him.

According to court records, Gregory was convicted last month for breaking and entering in vehicles. He was also charged in 2013 with larceny.
