FAYETTEVILLE, NC (WTVD) -- The Cumberland County Sheriff's Office has charged a 17-year-old Pine Forest High School student in a scheme to collect videos of young people engaged in sex acts.

Detectives said Mark Stevens Adair had people record the sex acts and then send the video to him. He allegedly posted the video online and traded them for adult pornography.

Deputies said the case began with a tip to the State Bureau of Investigation from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children about information posted on Twitter and the Cumberland County Sheriff's Office Cyber Crimes Unit started looking into it.

Detectives got a search warrant for Adair's home and computer and found enough evidence to charge him with three counts of first-degree exploitation of a minor, 10 counts of second-degree exploitation of a minor, and 10 counts of third-degree exploitation of a minor.

Bond was set at $1.3 million on the 23 charges.
