Car hits Raleigh building, two injured
Two people were injured early Friday morning when their SUV slammed into a downtown Raleigh building.

RALEIGH (WTVD) -- Two people were injured early Friday morning when their SUV slammed into a downtown Raleigh building.

It happened just before 4 a.m. in the 300 block of West Hargett Street.

Police said there was some sort of disturbance after the crash.

The driver, 25-year-old Tikoya Alecia Sharmika Christopher, was charged with DWI.

Neither she or a passenger in her vehicle, 21-year-old Madeline Launquie Massey, were injured seriously.

One other person, 23-year-old Cyril Hansen, was charged with disorderly conduct in connection with the disturbance. He was cited and released.

There was no damage to the building.
