2 shootings at same home have neighbors concerned
Two shootings in just over a week at the same Wake County house have neighbors on edge.

WAKE COUNTY, N.C. (WTVD) -- Two shootings in just over a week at the same Wake County house have neighbors on edge.

Early Tuesday morning, Wake County Sheriff's investigators were back at the white frame house on the corner of Olive Humie and Richardson Roads after a neighbor reported as many as 10 shots fired in a drive-by shooting.

There were no reports of injuries after the shooting and no arrests have been made.

That wasn't the case on Jan. 24.

Investigators said a woman visiting the house that night went outside to investigate a man repeatedly knocking on the home's windows.

Witnesses say they heard two shots and the woman came back inside saying she had been hit.

Deputies charged a man who lives across the road, 51-year old Ricky O'Neill, with shooting and injuring the woman.

She has since been released from the hospital, but O'Neill has been in jail the whole time so investigators know he didn't fire the shots in Monday night's incident.

An elderly woman who lives across the road is like a lot of neighbors in the Friendship Community outside Apex. She wants the gunfire to stop.

"It's scary because it's been happening at night, and I just think it needs to stop. This is a quiet neighborhood and for the last couple of weeks it's been up and down. So it just really needs to stop", Annie Scott told ABC11.

Scott may get her wish.

A search of Wake County property records show the house at 8025 Olive Humie Road and the 13 acres it sits were sold to a developer in December for $800,000.

The Friendship community has become fertile hunting grounds for developers since the Wake County Public School System began building the new Apex-Friendship High School.

The construction site is just 250 yards down Humie Olive Road from the house where the shootings have happened.
