GARNER

The first robbery occurred at McDonalds, 101 Timber Drive shortly after 9:00 p.m. Saturday night.

According to police reports, four suspects entered the business, displayed a silver handgun and demanded money from the employees. All four were described as black males wearing dark clothing, "hoodies", and red bandanas.

The restaurant employees were forced into the freezer while the suspects took money from the store safe.

Owner's of the restaurant are offering a $1000.00 reward for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the persons responsible for the crime. The suspects left on foot with an undisclosed amount of cash.

In a second incident, police say that four suspects robbed the Family Fare BP gas station, 1535 W Hwy 70, shortly after 11:00pm Tuesday night. Store surveillance video shows the four individuals entering the convenience store, displaying a weapon, and demanding money from the clerk.

The suspects were described as four black males wearing dark colored clothing. The suspects left the store on foot with an undisclosed amount of cash.

"At this point in the investigation, we do not believe that these two robberies are related," said Investigator Davis. "We are, however, continuing to explore all possibilities."

No one was injured in either incident. Police are asking for public assistance in identifying the suspects from both robberies.
