Wal-Mart shopper shot in the eye

A juvenile is under arrest after an alleged theft and shooting at a Fayetteville Wal-Mart.

Fayetteville Police tell Eyewitness News the young man tried to steal some chicken from the Wal-Mart on Raeford Road.

An employee tried to stop him from leaving the store. The employee and the juvenile were struggling and a passerby stepped in to help.

That's when Police say the juvenile shot a BB gun, hitting the passerby in the eye.

The juvenile was taken into custody under a secure custody order. There is no word on what charges the juvenile is facing, or on the condition of the passerby.
