This week parents will also get letters letting notifying them if their child is being moved under the new reassignment plan. More than 6000 elementary school students will switch schools next school year. School board approved the final plan last week.
Officials say the reassignment plan is necessary to create diversity, fill new schools and ease overcrowding.
