Arrest in Quality Food Mart shooting

The arrest occurred Tuesday evening after Williams and another man robbed a /*Handy Hugo'*/s convenience store, on Buffalo Road and then led /*Wake County*/ Sheriff's deputies on a high speed chase that ended with a car crash in north Raleigh.

According to a Wake County Sheriff's spokesperson, the suspects fled in a car that a deputy spotted almost immediately and tried to stop. The car fled and then crashed on New Hope Road near Capital Boulevard.

One suspect was arrested at the crash scene, while the other man ran. Deputies chased him to a Capital Ford building on Capital Boulevard, where he was arrested inside.

Wake Forest police have charged Williams, of /*Raleigh*/, with one count of robbery with a dangerous weapon and one count of assault with a deadly weapon with intent to kill, inflicting serious injury.

He faces additional charges in Wake County and Raleigh. Williams is being held in the Wake County jail under $500,000 bond.
