Officers arrested 23-year-old Toriko Merco.
He faces murder charges for the shooting death of 42-year-old David Taborn.
Someone found him shot to death inside a Hudson Ave. apartment early Friday morning.
Officers were called to the North Durham apartment complex just after midnight Friday to check on a man lying on the floor of an upstairs unit.
Police say Taborn was shot to death.
Neighbor Robin Barnes told police she's only seen Taborn in passing. Barnes says she last saw him on Wednesday while on her way to bible study.
"Friendly person, never messed with anybody, never did anything to anybody. He basically stayed to himself," Barnes said.
