Carolina coach supports Kansas Jayhawks

North Carolina coach Roy Williams was seen wearing a Kansas Jayhawks logo on the left side of his shirt during the NCAA championship game Monday night.

Cameras showed the former Jayhawks coach proudly cheering on Kansas as they took on the Memphis Tigers.

Sports talk radio shows in the Triangle cannot stop talking about it. According to Sports Radio 850-The Buzz and 620-The Bull, the phones rang off the hook all morning and afternoon.

One host told Eyewitness News the calls were relatively spilt, some furious over the Jayhawks' sticker and others more understanding.

"Some people were like, 'they just killed Carolina, how can you possibly put that sticker on, but it's extenuating circumstances, and I really don't think that Roy Williams is going to work any less hard for North Carolina next season. And the next time he plays Kansas, his goal will be to beat Kansas," Radio Show Host, Chris Clark said.
