Officers were called to a "stabbing" near /*West Piedmont Avenue*/ at Scout Drive around 8:30 p.m.
When they arrived, the officers found a man lying partially in the road. He had been stabbed in the chest.
The man, whose name is not being released at this time, was transported to /*Duke Hospital*/ where he was pronounced dead.
Investigators do not have any motive or suspect descriptions. The incident is under investigation.
