Police search for child abuse suspect

Youth Services Detectives are requesting the public's assistance in locating Pure Energy (legal name), 35, for felony child abuse.

Energy is accused of causing a life threatening head injury to the six-year-old son of his girlfriend.

Detectives believe the injuries occurred on April 6, when the child was left in Energy's care.

The victim was transported to Chapel Hill for treatment and has since been released and is staying with relatives.

Energy is decribed as a African American man, 5 feet 11 inches tall and 208 pounds.

He may be in the area of Raeford in Hoke County. He also goes by the alias, Dewayne Harrington.

Energy is known to be armed and violent.
