According to investigators, the victim, 24-year-old Christopher Neil Currie, was shot in the back sometime around 7:57 p.m. by someone believed to be a relative.
The victim was transpored to Wake Med and is undergoing treament for what appeared to be non-life threatening injuries.
There is no suspect information available at this time.
