A new state audit report reveals IT workers at /*N.C. State*/ and /*NCCU*/ were caught doing the very thing they're supposed to prevent -- abuse of campus computers.
Now the workers could face criminal charges.
An investigative report released Tuesday says the workers downloaded music, movies and porn. A worker at NCCU visited a racy Website called nudetube.com dozens of times.
The site contains explicit images.
In addition to surfing for sex, auditors say the IT workers may have violated federal copyright laws by sharing music and films.
The report also alleges the workers tried to cover up their activity by deleting e-mails and files. That along with the porn, could lead to criminal charges.
According to the report, all three workers lost their jobs because of the incidents. As a result, both schools are making policy changes to prevent similar incidents in the future.
