Baring his stomach on his /*MySpace*/ page, the man claimed his name was "Dakota Hilton." He was an 18-year-old, self-proclaimed ex-porn star.
Friday morning Hilton, whose real name is Dakota Melton, appeard rail thin as he slowly walked into court.
A judge refused to allow Melton's lawyer appear in his place.
"You're charged with felony taking indecent liberties with a child and second-degree kidnapping," the judge said.
Arrest warrants suggest the Cary man used his MySpace alias and bogus age to attract a 12-year-old boy from Sanford back to his Cary apartment.
Warrants state Melton drove the boy to dinner, a movie and then back to Melton's place. That's where the boy said he fell asleep and awoke to find Melton sucking on his neck.
A medical examination indicated the boy had hickeys on his body and somone else's pubic hair in his shorts.
The warrants also suugest police are investigating Melton's roommate. Melto said he and his roommate made money performing sex acts on the internet.
Police took computer hardware the men's apartment. They also said the heard Melton's roommate say, "If they take my hard drive, then I'm screwed."
Melton is out of jail on a $20,000 bond. He is scheduled back in court August 28.
If he is convicted on all counts, he could face more than 13 years in prison.
