Eyewitness News has learned one of the riders got too close another motorcyclist, one of the riders wrecked near Buffaloe Road.
Then, investigators believe the driver of an 18 wheeler behind the group did not see the wreck in time and the truck ran over the fallen motorcyclist.
The other two motorcycle riders are okay.
Police say speed, weather and alcohol are not considered factors, but the wreck remains under investigation. No charges have been filed.
