It is believed the victim suffered a gunshot wound, but it was not clear as to where Simmons was shot.
No suspects have been arrested and no motive has been released.
Fayetteville Police investigate death
FAYETTEVILLE A police supervisor found the body of 29-year-old Codis Simmons near Lamon and Ann Streets just before 4 a.m. Saturday.
