Durham Police were called in to help. Paramedics had to evacuate one detention officer on a stretcher.
"We had a total of seven officers injured in the riot. Two went to the ER last night and were released; one went this morning and has been removed from duty for two days," Captain Rick Buchanan said. "The others received minor injuries that did not require medical treatment."
The fight is under investigation.
