Sturtz allegedly beat 25-year-old Steven Wayne Page of Linden following an argument. Page was found unconscious by Sheriff's Deputies near Wall and Hillsboro Streets in Linden around 2:00 a.m. Saturday.
Page was taken to Cape Fear Valley Medical Center where he remains unconscious and in serious condition. He is suffering from facial lacerations, fractures and a subdural hematoma.
Sturtz is being held in the Cumberland County Detention Center under a $75,000 secured bond. His first court appearance is scheduled for Monday at 2:30 p.m. in the Detention Center Courtroom.
Investigators say additional arrests and charges are expected.
