Officers found Ralph Winkfield shot multiple times sitting in the driver's seat of a vehicle in the 7,000 block of Amarillo Drive. He was taken to Cape Fear Valley Hospital where he later died.
Investigators say the younger Winkfield is Ralph's nephew. They've not released a motive for the alleged killing and say the investigation is ongoing.
Zarron Winkfield is charged with first-degree murder. He's being held in the Cumberland County Jail with no bond.
