Reward offered in student death investigation

CHAPEL HILL UNC Crime Stoppers is seeking information relating to the identity of the person(s) involved in a hit-and-run motor vehicle accident that happened on Nov. 16, 2008.

It happened on Old Greensboro Highway near Neville Road in Orange County. Rodney Torain, 17, died as a result of that collision.

According to police, the suspect vehicle is described as a small gold or silver four door vehicle possibly occupied by several Hispanic individuals. It should have damage to its passenger side.

Crime Stoppers will pay up to $3,000 for information leading to an arrest in Train's death. Callers do not have to reveal their identity.
