Two animal rights groups and an animal cruelty investigator want to take care of seven horses they say are starving in Wake County.The Animal Legal Defense Fund, the US Equine Rescue League and an investigator want permanent custody. They filed a request for a permanent injunction in Wake County Superior Court Monday.
The documents say eight horses were living in a rented pasture near Willow Springs.
They claim the horses had no access to hay and one of them died.
