Thanks to a Carolina Panther, a North Carolina high school band will be able to play in the Obama inauguration parade. Charlotte's Harding University High School received pledges from Steve Smith and AT&T.

The band raised $75,000 for their trip to Washington D.C.

Tuesday the band received $25,000 from wide receiver Steve Smith and $13,000 from AT&T.

The money will be used for rooms, transportation and equipment, including the repair of some uniforms that are more than 10 years old.

The school plans to send 127 students and chaperones to the parade.
