Train, SUV collide in Knightdale

KNIGHTDALE Around 12:30 p.m., Wake County authorities were dispatched to downtown Knightdale at Railroad and Fayetteville streets.

The train hit a SUV and dragged it 568 feet, according to authorities.

The train's conductor told a Knightdale ploice officer the driver of the vehicle stopped on the tracks for an unknown reason.

The driver was transported to WakeMed. She has mnior injuries.
