Raleigh-Durham tops U.S. for Obama watchers

Maybe it was the snow. Maybe North Carolina is bluer than we think. It turns out the Raleigh-Durham area had the largest TV audience during inauguration coverage of President Barack Obama.That's the report from Nielsen Media Research.

It says the Triangle had more than 51 percent of households with televisions tuned to the swearing in Tuesday.

Nationally, about 30 percent of TV homes watched the inauguration coverage in the 56 local television markets measured by Nielsen. Seattle-Tacoma had the lowest viewership, with just 18.8 percent.
