Eight arrested in robbery spree

RALEIGH They all were arrested in connection with robberies at a north Raleigh family dollar store on Capital Boulevard, a Papa John's on Park Glen Drive, a taxi driver, and five delivery drivers.

Police say they believe the eight were each involved in one or more of the robberies.

Their names and charges include:

  • Joseph A. Tinsley, 23, is charged with seven counts of robbery with a dangerous weapon, six counts of conspiracy to commit armed robbery, three counts of second degree kidnapping and one count of assault with a deadly weapon inflicting serious injury. He is under $750,000 secured bond.
  • Brian A. Johnson, 22, is charged with two counts of armed robbery, two counts of conspiracy to commit armed robbery, four counts of robbery with a dangerous weapon and four counts of conspiracy to commit armed robbery. He is under $500,000 secured bond.
  • Ryan L. Brown, 19, is charged with one count of conspiracy to commit armed robbery and one count of embezzlement. He is under $55,000 secured bond.
  • Christopher S. Clay, 22, is charged with three counts of armed robbery and three counts of conspiracy to commit armed robbery. He is under $45,000 secured bond.
  • Anastasia A. Richardson, 22, is charged with two counts of armed robbery, two counts of felony conspiracy and one count of conspiracy to commit armed robbery. She is under $200,000 secured bond.
  • Quinton L. Battle, 19, is charged with one count of armed robbery and one count of conspiracy to commit armed robbery. He is under $100,000 secured bond.
  • Jasmine Y. McFadden, 25, is charged with one count of armed robbery and one count of conspiracy. She is under $60,000 secured bond.
  • Shawn D. Baker, 18, is charged with one count of armed robbery. He is under $200,000 secured bond.

All eight are due in court on Monday at 2 p.m.
