Guns, drugs found at Durham day care

DURHAM Police say they found guns and drugs when they raided a day care center in Durham.

Officers found 301 grams of cocaine and two guns Tuesday morning in the day care, which is operated out of a home.

The day care owner and resident of the home, 25-year-old Agostina Mabel Pomiro, was arrested along with one other person.

Police also say a 2-year-old and a 13-month-old child were at the day care at the time of the raid. Police say the 13-month-old belongs to Pamiro .

She is charged with cocaine trafficking, drug possession, possessing drugs at a day care center, child abuse and possession of drug paraphernalia.

The other suspect, Victor Antonio Garcia, is charged with cocaine trafficking, selling drugs to police, possession with intent to sell drugs and possession of drugs at a day care center.

Pomiro and Garcia are being held at the Durham County Jail.
