According to authorities, friends of 22-year old Shamont Antwain McRae of Singleton Road in Raeford left him at Cape Fear Valley Medical Center Sunday night. He died soon after.
Investigators say they have located the friends and are questioning them about the incident. Police say the victim suffered one gunshot wound.
At this time, it is not clear where the crime took place.
