Man shot during possible robbery attempt

DURHAM When they arrived at 103 Sherwood Dr., they found a man who had been shot twice in the leg.

The victim told officers he was standing outside when a man tried to rob him. The suspect allegedly fired several shots at the victim.

The victim told police he was able to run for help. His name is not being released at this time.

The unidentified man was taken to Duke Hospital with non life-threatening injuries.

Police are investigating the incident and say they do not have a motive or a suspect description.
