Investigator say 27-year-old Charles Clements - who was assigned to Fort Hood, Texas, and recently returned from deployment in Iraq - was with his friend, 26-year old Arthur Mwebe - a Fort Bragg soldier, when they were fired upon inside the club.
Clements was shot in the head and killed. Mwebe was shot in the upper thigh and taken to Cape Fear Valley Medical Center where he is recovering from his injury.
Investigators questioned a Fort Bragg soldier about the shooting, but no charges have been announced.
