Man wanted for BP robbery

The Durham Police Department is investigating the robbery of the BP convenience store at 2502 Chapel Hill Boulevard.Investigators say on March 19, a man entered the store around 6:40 a.m. He took a drink to the front counter and when the clerk opened the cash register, the man allegedly reached in a grabbed a handful of money.

The suspect left the store and drove away in a white and gray minivan similar to a 1990s model Toyota Sienna.

An image of the man was captured by a surveillance camera. He appears to be a black male, 35 to 40 years old with a dark complexion, a medium build and a shaved or bald head. He was wearing a dark motorcycle style jacket with tan stripes down the sleeves, a polo shirt and tan pants.
