Officials say that the Durham County case is unrelated to the Orange County case announced Friday.
UNC Health Care says one of their staff members --with a case of H1N1 influenza-- came in contact with patients and staff at the University Pediatrics at Highgate clinic in Durham this week.
Officials say that person is only mildly sick and in self-isolation at home. But he or she may have exposed up to 12 pediatric patients with the virus.
Currently there are seven cases in Craven County, two cases in Onslow County, two cases in Carteret County, one in Rutherford County, one in Orange County and one in Durham County.
