Man in hot tub beaten

CHATHAM COUNTY They've now charged Curtis Johnson, 31, of 926 North Pea Ridge Road, Pittsboro. They say he beat Gregory McBride - inflicting serious injuries to his head and face.

The girlfriend wasn't named.

Johnson was arrested charged with felonious assault inflicting serious bodily injury and simple assault. He was jailed under a $25,000 bond and his court date is scheduled in Chatham County District Court in Pittsboro on July 22.
