On July 1, authorities responded to a call regarding a three-alarm fire at the school. The blaze destroyed the school's gym and part of the cafeteria.
So far, detectives have interviewed over 100 people and collected fingerprints and physical evidence from the crime scene.
There is still no determination of what caused the fire. However, the sheriff's office said it will conduct additional interviews in the upcoming weeks that may help determine a cause. Those interviews will include contractors and people who were working on the building prior to the fire.
Anyone with information regarding the fire is urged to contact the Cumberland County Sheriff's Office at (910) 323-1500, or you may leave an anonymous message on our TIPSLINE at 484-TIPS. You can also contact the sheriff's office www.ccsonc.org.
