Fayetteville man killed overseas

FAYETTEVILLE The Army Special Forces said 27-year-old Captain Ronald Luce and two others, 43-year-old Severin W. Summers and 42-year-old Alejandro Granado, were killed by a roadside bomb.

Authorities said the men died when their vehicle was struck by a 'command wire improvised explosive device,' while 'conducting a tactical ground movement.'

Luce was a Special Forces team leader in Jackson, Mississippi. He is survived by his wife Kendahl and daughter Carie of Fayetteville.
