Police bust Cary meth lab

CARY According to police spokesperson Susan Moran, authorities were on routine patrol on Buck Jones Road around 4 a.m., when they noticed suspicious activity in the Motel 6 parking lot.

Officers found a person that had a backpack with contents of a portable meth lab inside.

Hazmat from Raleigh was called to the scene, because of the chemicals.

Brandon Carlon, 26, of Fuquay-Varina was arrested and charged with possession with intent to manufacture methamphetamine and possession of precursor chemicals.

He also had an outstanding warrant for his arrest, because he failed to appear in court on a larceny charge.
