HOLLY SPRINGS --
A Wake County woman was killed and her son was critically injured in a car crash Sunday night.The Highway Patrol said 43-year-old Cynthia Ellerbee was speeding down Stephenson Road in Holly Springs when she lost control and slammed into a tree. She died instantly and her 7-year-old son was ejected from the car.
Authorities say neither was wearing a seatbelt.
