Juvenile offender escapes custody

DURHAM The juvenile identified as "Melkym," last initial "D." was last seen on Fayetteville Street in Durham at 12:00 noon on October 25, 2009. The juvenile's home county is Wake County.

The department says that, due to the unpredictability of juvenile behavior during an escape, they have a high degree of concern for the safety of both the juvenile and the public.

If you see this juvenile, they ask that you contact local law enforcement.
