Soldier charged with assaulting wife

FORT BRAGG, NC The Moore County Sheriff's Office says 43-year-old Timothy Wilkes' wife has two broken arms and head injuries she sustained during a domestic dispute.

Authorities say the couple has been separated for about a year.

Wilkes is assigned to the Security Assistance Training Management Organization at Fort Bragg, which is part of the Army Special Operations Command.

Authorities have not released additional details about the incident.
