Student jailed in hammer attack

A high school student is jailed after a hammer attack on Friday. Raleigh Police say the scene of the crime was a modular classroom at Southeast Raleigh High School.

Under arrest for the attack is 17-year-old Angelo Womack of Raleigh, who police say knew his victim.

Angelo is being held on a $200,000 bond, and has been charged with one count of assault with a deadly weapon with intent to kill.

He is due in court on Monday afternoon.
