Person shot, killed in Raleigh

Shortly after 9 p.m. Saturday, Raleigh Police Department officers responded to a shots-fired call in the 5900 block of Shadetree Lane. Upon initial investigation, officers found 32-year-old James Carol Deberry suffering from a gunshot wound. He was transported to WakeMed, but later died.

Detectives charged 45-year-old David Eric Moses with murder in connection to Deberry's death.

Moses was taken into custody and transported to the Wake County Jail.

On Monday, police charged a second suspect, 43-years-old James Harold Courtney III with murder in connection with Deberry's death. Courtney was also taken to the Wake County Jail.

The investigation of the case is continuing.
