First freeze of the season

RALEIGH Temperatures will plunge below freezing in many spots for the first time this season Friday night into Saturday morning.

A Freeze Warning was issued for all of central North Carolina.

ABC11 Eyewitness News' Chief Meteorologist Chris Hohmann said after a frosty and cold morning; look for brilliant sunshine and a warming trend to begin.

Highs on Saturday will reach the mid 60s and the warming trend will continue Sunday with lots of sun and highs in the low 70s.
