Officers responded to a shooting call in the parking lot of 574 Liberty St. shortly before 1 a.m. When they arrived, they found 42-year-old Latarvio Lee Metts on the ground.
He was taken to Duke University Hospital where he died.
Police have not filed charges in the case.
