Raleigh man charged with involuntary manslaughter

RALEIGH

According to warrants obtained by ABC 11 Eyewitness News, Aleksey Glazunov, 24, of Raleigh, was driving his vehicle in a "careless and wreckless manner," lost control, struck, and killed Teresa Weintraub on December 2nd.

Glazunov was originally charged with misdemeanor death by motor vehicle, but on Friday, the charges were upgraded to involuntary manslaughter, and Glazunov was being held on a $50,000 secured bond.

Documents show that Glazunov has ten prior speeding tickets on his record, and was believed to be driving at high speeds in the rain during this incident.
