Housekeeping staff discovered Wise's body inside a room at the Executive Inn on Weslyan Blvd. Wednesday. The victim was reported missing from her job Tuesday.
The Medical Examiner's Office ruled her death a homicide.
Police are looking for Ronald Carlton Ricks, Jr. in connection with her death. A warrant has been obtained for Ricks for first degree murder.
It is believed he may be in the Wake County or the Greensboro area.
During the investigation, police determined Wises' vehicle, a 2002 Ford F-150 with extended cab was missing. It has a NC license plate VRC 7985. Police say they believe Ricks may be operating the vehicle.
